Bournemouth have ended speculation over Antoine Semenyo's January future. Sources confirm the club have informed all interested parties that their star winger is not available this window. The message to the market is clear: no winter sale.

Iraola refuses to weaken key asset

The decision comes directly from head coach Andoni Iraola. Understanding is that the Spaniard views Semenyo as integral to Bournemouth's survival push and will not sanction his departure mid-season. The Ghana international's ability to play centrally or on either flank makes him tactically invaluable.

Semenyo has thrived under Iraola's high-intensity system. His relentless pressing, willingness to run in behind and capacity to create space for teammates have made him one of the most effective attackers outside the Big Six. Six goals and three assists in 14 Premier League appearances only tell part of the story.

Summer opens different conversation

Bournemouth's stance does not mean Semenyo is unavailable at any price forever. Sources indicate the club will reassess their position once the season concludes. If the 25-year-old maintains his trajectory and expresses a desire for a new challenge, negotiations could begin in earnest.

The delay works in Semenyo's favour too. A strong second half of the campaign would enhance his reputation further and strengthen his hand in any contract discussions. Regular minutes in a defined role beats an uncertain January move to a club where playing time is not guaranteed.

Suitors told to wait

Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham have all explored the possibility of a mid-season deal. Each has been knocked back. Bournemouth's €77 million release clause remains active, but triggering it now would not guarantee the player's departure given the club's determination to keep him.

The Cherries sit 14th after a difficult run of form, five games without a win. Losing their most dangerous forward now would seriously compromise their hopes of avoiding the relegation battle. Iraola has made his priorities clear. Semenyo stays until May at the earliest.
