Two matches. Two late goals. Two VERY different emotions.
Sunday's Premier League action delivered everything we love about this mad, beautiful, utterly bonkers league. Crystal Palace are now sitting pretty in FOURTH place - yes, you read that right - while West Ham remain stuck in the relegation mud despite producing one of the goals of the season.
Grab a cuppa and let Barry talk you through the chaos.
Palace - the unlikely top four contenders
Right, let us start with the big story. Crystal Palace are in the Champions League places. In DECEMBER. Oliver Glasner has somehow transformed this squad from mid-table also-rans into genuine European contenders, and Sunday's 2-1 win at Craven Cottage was the perfect example of why.
It was not pretty for long stretches. Fulham had plenty of the ball, created chances, and genuinely looked like ending their TWENTY-YEAR hoodoo against Palace at home. Harry Wilson's trivela finish to make it 1-1 was absolutely gorgeous - the outside of the boot, curling away from Bernd Leno, pure class.
But Palace have something this season that they have lacked for years: a winning mentality. When Emile Smith Rowe thought he had put Fulham ahead in the second half, VAR spotted Samuel Chukwueze was marginally offside. Brutal for Marco Silva's men.
And then, with five minutes to go, up popped the captain. Marc Guehi rose like a salmon from Yeremi Pino's corner and powered a header past Leno. The away end went absolutely mental. The Craven Cottage curse continues - Fulham have not beaten Palace at home since 2005. Twenty years of pain!
Palace move to 26 points and fourth place. Glasner played down the Champions League talk before kick-off, but he will be facing a LOT more questions now. This is a team going places.
Bowen brilliance goes to waste
Meanwhile, down on the south coast, we witnessed one of the most extraordinary goals you will EVER see. And it counted for absolutely nothing.
Jarrod Bowen, God bless him, produced a moment of sheer genius against Brighton in the 73rd minute. Callum Wilson drove forward and slipped the ball to the West Ham captain, who was racing alongside Ferdi Kadioglu.
What happened next defied all logic. Bowen essentially TACKLED the ball into the net. He slid in, nicked the ball away from Kadioglu, and somehow guided it across Bart Verbruggen and into the far corner - all in one motion. It was part tackle, part finish, part complete and utter madness.
Sky Sports were purring. The pundits were lost for words. Goal of the season contender, no doubt about it.
The problem? West Ham could not hold on. Brighton were absolutely DIRE for 89 minutes - they did not register a single shot on target until the final moments. But football is cruel, and Georginio Rutter popped up in the 91st minute to break Hammers hearts.
There was controversy, mind. In the build-up to Rutter's equaliser, the ball appeared to hit his hand. VAR took a look and decided the goal should stand. Nuno Espirito Santo was absolutely FUMING on the touchline.
The draw leaves West Ham in 18th place with 13 points. Still in the relegation zone. Still without a clean sheet in 12 games. Bowen deserved three points for that goal alone, but instead he gets nothing but sympathy and a spot on the Goal of the Month compilation.
What it means for the table
Palace's win shakes up the top end of the table. They are now just seven points behind leaders Arsenal and level on points with Chelsea. The Eagles have a genuine shot at European football - and not just the Conference League variety.
At the bottom, West Ham's draw does nothing to ease the pressure on Nuno. They are two points from safety with a squad that looks mentally shot. Brighton stay seventh on 23 points, but Fabian Hurzeler knows his side got away with one there.
Sunday's results
Brighton 1-1 West Ham (Rutter 90+1' / Bowen 73')
Fulham 1-2 Crystal Palace (Wilson 38' / Nketiah 20', Guehi 87')
